Cookie Policy
Last updated: August 19, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how HomeCalc (homemetric.fun) uses cookies and similar technologies, and works alongside our Privacy Policy.
What are cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device that help websites remember information about your visit or recognize your browser on return visits. Some cookies are set by us directly (first-party); others are set by third-party services we use, like advertising providers (third-party).
How we use cookies
- Essential / functional: a small amount of local browser storage is used to remember your cookie choice, and (separately) whether you've dismissed the sticky ad or seen the post-calculation popup during your current visit. This is never used for tracking.
- Analytics: HomeCalc uses Google Analytics, which sets cookies to measure aggregate visitor numbers, popular pages and general usage trends. These cookies do not identify you personally and are not linked to anything you type into a calculator. Analytics storage follows your cookie banner choice via Google's Consent Mode.
- Advertising: HomeCalc displays ads served by Google AdSense and its partner network. Google and its advertising partners use cookies (including the DoubleClick DART cookie) to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites on the Internet, and to measure ad performance. See Google's cookie types page for details on the specific cookies Google may set.
Your cookie choice on this site
On your first visit, HomeCalc shows a cookie banner where you can Accept all or Reject non-essential cookies — both options are equally one click away. Rejecting sets Google Analytics and Google AdSense to their non-consenting state via Google's Consent Mode (Analytics storage denied, ads served non-personalized). You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer of every page.
Managing cookies
You can also control, block or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. You can opt out of personalized advertising from Google specifically via Google Ads Settings, or opt out of many third-party advertising networks at once via the Digital Advertising Alliance (US) or Your Online Choices (EU/UK). None of this affects calculator functionality, which runs entirely in your browser regardless of cookie settings — you may simply see less relevant ads.
